Project Scope:

This Kensington bathroom renovation was all about making better use of space. The original room felt narrow and closed in, with limited storage and a dated design that didn’t make the most of the available light. The goal was to create a modern, open bathroom that felt brighter, more spacious, and easier to move around in — without changing the room’s footprint.

Key Objectives:

  • Reconfigure the layout to maximise space and functionality.

  • Replace dated fittings with modern, low-maintenance fixtures.

  • Introduce a light, neutral palette with warm accents to make the room feel larger.

  • Manage every stage of the renovation for a smooth, coordinated process.

Project Description:

Phase 1: Demolition and Preparation

The old bathroom was stripped out completely, giving our team a blank canvas to work with. Careful preparation ensured the new layout would provide better flow while keeping plumbing practical and efficient.

Phase 2: Installation and Design

A fresh design brought the space to life. The curved glass shower enclosure adds both function and style, maximising floor area while keeping the room open and light. The new floating vanity provides smart storage and a clean, modern look. White subway tiles create a timeless backdrop, while the herringbone timber-look flooring adds warmth and texture — giving the bathroom a welcoming feel.

Phase 3: Final Touches and Completion

Once the plumbing and electrical work were complete, the transformation was striking. The combination of light walls, clean lines, and warm flooring created a space that feels both relaxing and refined. With every trade working seamlessly — from Building Zone to Foleys, Morris Waddell Electrical, and the Todd Mudie Group — the project came together to deliver an exceptional finish.

Highlights:

  • Smarter Layout: Improved flow and usability in a compact space.

  • Timeless Finishes: White tiles, round mirror, and soft lighting for a clean, modern look.

  • Warm Contrast: Timber-look herringbone flooring adds texture and depth.

  • Functional Design: Floating vanity and glass shower maximise space.

  • Seamless Collaboration: A well-managed project delivered through trusted trade partnerships.

The Result:

What was once a small and dated bathroom is now a bright, inviting space that feels open, balanced, and timeless. The careful coordination between TMG Connect and our trusted trades ensured the project was completed efficiently and to an exceptional standard — another example of renovation made easy.
