Project Scope:
This project involved a full reconfiguration of the kitchen and dining space. The original kitchen was small and tucked away, creating a cramped layout with poor flow between the living areas. The renovation required relocating the kitchen into the old dining/lounge area, opening up the space, and converting the former kitchen into a functional office.
Key Objectives:
Create a modern open-plan kitchen and dining area that flows naturally through the home.
Relocate the kitchen to maximise light, space, and functionality.
Establish a dedicated office from the former kitchen space, improving layout and use of the entrance.
Use quality finishes and thoughtful design details to lift both style and practicality.
Project Description:
Phase 1: Planning & Preparation
Our team worked with the homeowners to design a layout that moved the kitchen into the central dining/lounge area. This required detailed planning around wall removals, services relocation, and cabinetry placement. Consents and structural changes were coordinated to ensure the new layout was functional and compliant.
Phase 2: Renovation & Installation
The new kitchen was installed with a large island bench, seamlessly linking the cooking and dining zones. Timber-look flooring was carried through to connect spaces, while sleek cabinetry and modern appliances created a clean, contemporary look. A light-filled office was created in the old kitchen footprint, offering privacy while making better use of the home’s entrance flow.
Phase 3: Final Touches & Completion
The finishes are what make this transformation stand out: vertical green feature tiles add texture and colour, while LED strip lighting and modern fixtures highlight the crisp white cabinetry. Open shelving and statement black fittings balance warmth and sophistication. The completed renovation delivers a space that feels welcoming, stylish, and highly functional.
Highlights:
Reconfiguration: Kitchen relocated to create open flow from living to dining.
Feature Design: Vertical green tiled splashback with soft lighting and timber accents.
Office Creation: Former kitchen space repurposed into a private office.
Modern Living: Large island bench and integrated storage for both family life and entertaining.
Transformation: The old dark, closed-off kitchen replaced with a bright, open-plan hub.
